ABOUT THE PASTOR

Pastor Ron Mahood

Pastor Ron Mahood did his undergraduate work at Houston Baptist University and received a B.A. in Education. He was avid baseball player and was drafted by the Montreal Expos in 1971. He decided not to sign a contract and instead went as a missionary teacher to Okinawa, Japan. While there, he became an associate pastor of a military work and was ordained to preach. After missionary service in Okinawa, Japan, he returned to become a senior pastor of churches in New York and New Jersey. In 1989, he received his Master of Theology degree and his Doctorate of Sacred Theology in 1991 from Bethany Theological Seminary in Dothan, Alabama. After the death of his wife in 1991, Pastor Ron moved to California in 1993 and married Charlene. They have one daughter, Chayna. He also has 3 aged children with his late wife. He became pastor of Vintage Park Community Church in 1994.

Thank you for taking the time in finding our web page. Our church is interested in meeting your spiritual needs. At Vintage Park Community Church we are committed to teaching the Bible and we actively use the Word of God in our Sunday School, AWANA, Youth Program, Bible studies, and our preaching ministry. We have a wonderful nursery and we also have a "special needs" nursery for our worship service. Come visit us and I'm sure you will say that we are friendly church devoted in teaching the Bible so that we can grow in grace together.
